had a dream where my kindergarten teacher contacted me for a like class reunion which is odd but ok whatever i got nothing else to do.

i get to the place at the time i’ve been invited to and it’s like at a beach and i’m the only one that seems to be there for that. then someone comes up to me, goes "are you sock?" i say yes and ask where everyone was. she says they’re at another location but i was needed here because i was strong or something.

so like that’s annoying to not tell me so i could wear better clothes for heavy lifting in THE HUNDRED DEGREE WEATHER, but ok sure i’ll be fine probably.

i ask the lady there what she needs help lifting, she replies nothing that NEEDS help, but i was needed for this. there’s apparently this glass walkway here that had an *ahem* load-bearing panel that was replaced with something weaker, and my task was to transport the old one to the actual event location. it’s apparently like really flexible and super strong, but it has to have compression applied from two parallel edges to stay strong. kinda neat.

i’m showed to the panel, which is surprisingly small. it’s sitting atop a piece of cardboard with a clamp across the thing. i’m told to pick it up, and told to compress it like the clamp is. then the clamp is removed because it apparently belongs to the current location and i can’t take it with! this is when it’s clarified that the glass will literally explode without that compression, which is GREAT, given that it’s now being held under MY FACE! i got this though i just have to keep squeezing the thing and i wont wind up in the hospital.

so i set off with some poorly worded directions on where to go. apparently the destination is a couple miles away, hooray. i for some reason have no memory of the actual walk other than it was AWFUL. because i was carrying a BOMB in the SUN through CAR HELL.

arriving at the location there’s a few people there. less than i expected. i spot my old teacher and go over to say "hey!" and "i’d give you a squeeze, but i’ve got–" hmm, where’d the glass go? wasn’t in my hands when i showed up, but the lady who had me move the thing was the and looked not-upset, so, hugs happen :)

i sit down in the row of seats in front of this screen that was set up. my sister’s there apparently, and she’s like, "wanna take the STAAR test?" which i reply to with, "no thanks, i prefer the PAWS."

then a presentation from the teacher starts and she talks about greatness or something, and gets to a slide where everyone’s got their name engraved in a piece of glass which is kinda neat. then she goes to the next slide with an x-ray, revealing that the piece of glass i moved was IMPLANTED IN MY BACK. i guess somehow it was put in during my walk? but how would that work? i was walking! …right?

and end of dream i guess.
